Where do you buy diagnostic tools and actually get real advice before purchase?

Guys, need advice. I want to set up proper auto diagnostics in my workshop, but the market's flooded with tools I don’t fully understand. I’d rather talk to someone first before buying — really need solid advice to avoid wasting money on the wrong scanner.
